Mike BestTurley

Mike is a senior director for Turley, a national planning consultancy with offices in 13 cities across the UK. He ran their Birmingham office for 11 years and is now a member of the company Leadership Team. He has worked in Birmingham city centre for 25 years, is a board director of Colmore BID and sits on the RTPI Partnership Board for the University of Birmingham Planning School

Nicola Fleet-MilneFleetmilne

Nicola founded FleetMilne in 2004 to focus solely on the residential sector; she built the business into one of the top agencies in the city of Birmingham offering high-street lettings, sales and property management. 

Since 2014, Nicola has sought to influence the emerging Build-to-Rent sector and now advises some of the largest funds in the UK/Europe.  FleetMilne currently act for 6 top funds either delivering completed schemes or designing future ones; more relationships are on the horizon.

Nicola’s day job involves nurturing client relationships and building upon them to secure future projects for the team to deliver in the residential market. Her role often takes her to London to advise on the development of the BTR world, as her team is experiencing its foibles on the ground.

Away from FleetMilne, Nicola sits on a variety of boards and trusts, enjoys netball and running, and  occasionally even has time for her dog, Boris.

Sharon Slinger - Constructing Rainbows Limited

Sharon Slinger FRICS CIWFM is the Director of Constructing Rainbows and works with built environment organisations to improve their business through implementation of diversity and inclusion strategies. With a background in quantity surveying, Sharon has nearly 20 years' experience working in the construction industry for main contractors. Other roles include regional board member of RICS Yorkshire and Humber, founder of LGBT+ in Facilities Management, member of the Construction Industry Council Diversity and Inclusion panel, Advisory board member of the Centre for LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Education, co-founder of STEER Support & Mentoring CIC, and Member of RICS Women of the Future network. Sharon has also featured in the OUTstanding/FT Top 50 Future Leaders list and won several awards for her work in diversity and inclusion.

Rob HudsonSt Modwen Properties plc & OpenLand Co-Chair

Rob is the CFO of St. Modwen Properties, responsible for Finance, IT and Investor Relations. Rob joined St. Modwen in September 2015. Rob has over 20 years’ experience in finance, and most recently was the Group Financial Controller at British Land PLC from 2011.  Rob joined PWC on      graduating and then moved to Experian PLC in 2000 where he held a number of senior financial roles, including Global Finance Director of its Decision Analytics business and UK Finance Director. Rob is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
